Can you use the credit card info on Contract to pay for the Invoice?

I have in my contracts to have a credit card on file, but can they use that credit card to pay for their invoice? How do you use that card info to pay if they haven't paid for their invoice? Am I missing something here?

If the customer has already saved a card on file with you, that card can be used to pay for Square Invoices. However, the customer has to authorize your business to store and charge the payment method for future purchases from their end for you to be able to do this as the Seller.
