End Drawer Report Nightmare CORRECTION/EDIT not possible????

Why is it NOT POSSIBLE to make and edit to the cash drawer that was closed by mistake with the wrong cash total!!!

 

This is an accounting nightmare.

 

Please advise.

Perhaps we could have a feature that only allows an administrator to make changes to the closed drawer so a user cannot just make random adjustments. Curtis Baker

Human error can get in the way of proper accounting procedures.  Once a drawer is 
"closed" it can not be "re-opened" or edited to correct any unintended error.  Please consider adding an edit to closed drawer sessions.

Is there any update on being able to adjust cash drawers? All I'm finding is years of square sellers asking and square moderaters saying it's a good idea, but not fixing the problem.

Is there anyway to correct a cash drawer after its been opened/closed? We had an employee enter the incorrect cash in a drawer and we cannot find a way to fix it.

Hi everyone - thanks for resurfacing this issue.  I have some good news to share after discussing with the relevant teams.

 

The ability to edit the ending cash balance is being addressed and we are targeting a rollout of this feature around the middle of the year.  More details to come as this draws closer, but we look forward to closing this known feature gap.  Appreciate your patience as we get closer to the finish line!

is this something that has been fixed or are we still waiting? I'm new to this thread but I am in need of a fix for a cash drawer

How it that in 7 years Square has not added the feature for an ADMIN to adjust starting drawer and end drawer amounts.  This seems like an easy simple thing to do, but yet 7 years later and we still don't have a solution.  

 

I had an employee enter the wrong amount when closing the drawer, now its an absolute mess when it syncs with QuickBooks.  Square please make this possible for ADMIN's to adjust.
