Why does my Square Online Store say: This store is not yet accepting payments?

Hi there @Candleco - the This store is not yet accepting payments message typically appears when there is an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate error. SSL is enabled for you by default the first time you publish your website, so you shouldn't need to do anything extra here.

 

It does, however, take some time to get the SSL up and running on a custom domain name. If you do have a custom domain name, please note that it may take 24 to 48 hours before your site appears normally and securely when searching that domain in a browser. For more details, see our guide here.

If you're still running into a bit of trouble, please ensure that you have followed both Step 1 and Step 2 of this guide to connecting your domain to your Square Online website. Missing the second step is a common mistake I've seen again and again, and will definitely cause some issues.

This reply was created from merging an existing thread: "This store is not yet accepting payments."

 

I setup our store for online classes - school.in-school.net and upon published and setting up domain it does not accept payments indicated - "This store is not yet accepting payments." We are launching tomorrow morning and need some help to get rid of this message. Appreciate your attention.

Hello,

 

I'm having this problem right now too.

 

I set up my website on Tuesday, but now two days later it's still giving this same message: "This store is not yet accepting payments."

 

I've checked that the toggle to accept online orders is set, and the bank account information has been verified. Are there any other steps I can take?

I'm so frustrated.  My online store continues to say not accepting payments, I've done all the things recommended in previous posts and emailed and fb messaged square MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE PAST MONTH! Nothing has worked, it continues to be an issue and I can't get anyone on the phone and no responses to my emails.  Can someone please help me.  My store is connected.

I could really use help with this as well.  My site AmusementsFood.square.site is showing the same message.  I've been trying to troubleshoot for more than a week and the problem still hasn't been resolved.  I'm losing money because of it and really really need help.
