Tax Exempt Customers / Remove Tax

How can i set up a group or customers that are tax exempt

As for your request, this isn't currently a functionality we offer. I can definitely see how it would be nice to automate removing tax, but in the meantime, you would need to manually remove the tax from transactions for these tax exempt customers. You can check out this Support Center article on how that process works.

Is there no way to exempt a group of clients by different states when they are legally exempt.  

That is not a difficult programming.  I certainly do not want to REMEMBER where each client lives before I can generate and invoice and then delete  the tax.
