Selling hardware but keeping app on phone for tax info

We are closing our business and would like to sell the POS system (I pad,terminal and remote card reader) but how do you clear the info out of it but retain the sales and tax info on the mobile app? Probably something very simple lol I'm not very tech savvy though.

See this post about the same issue; the basic answer is that as long as you are signed out of your account on any of your devices, anyone else may use the hardware and log in with their OWN account info. As far as your account on your mobile app, as long as you keep your Square account open, you'll be able to use your mobile app as well as your dashboard online. I hope this answers your question.
