I have an account currently tied to my ssn but I recently set up as an LLC and so have and EIN now.  How do I get to where I can change that or is it possible?

Hey @KatieJ512!

Yes. You can edit your EIN by going to the Square Dashboard > Account & Settings > Tax Forms:

The error message says that the EIN does not match the IRS records but I'm typing the information exactly from the SS4.  Is there a way to upload the SS4 to Square to get this done?

Hi @abps. I'm really sorry to hear the frustration regarding your EIN. I've merged your post to an existing thread where Isabelle details how to edit your EIN. In order to figure out which EIN the IRS has on file for you,

If you believe your EIN is correct, you may also need to update your business name on file for your 1099.

If you're still having difficulties updating your Taxpayer Information, the best course of action would be requesting a SS-4 form from the IRS. This form is generated by the IRS and shows the information that is on file for the merchant/yourself. The first line of the SS-4 form will represent your business name and your EIN/TIN will be on the far right side of the page. Currently, this is the only form of documentation that will help out in this process.

If you haven't figured it out yet, you have to put in the business name associated with the EIN # then it will update

have the SS4 and I'm typing it exactly as it's stated on the SS4 but I'm still getting an error.  Is there a way to send the SS4 to Square to get this done?  Maybe it's too new?  I just got the EIN a few days ago...
