We are from Texas and they require a tax of 8.25 to be charged. We have it set up on Wix to charge the tax but it isn't being charged. Do i need to add it on the square app also before it will be charged? If so how do I add it just for Texas?

I have the same question. I need to charge two different tax rates (Florida and New Jersey), but all my other customers in the other 48 states do not get charged tax. What am I to do? Charge everyone the highest tax and refund it? Seems ridiculous. If I sell on Etsy I can just put in those two states... Help!

Hello @vulcantactical and @SoapbyBespoke.
@vulcantactical, have you setup items in your Square account already?
@SoapbyBepoke are you using Wix or the Square Online Store?
I'll keep an eye out for both of your replies.

I am using the basic Square OnLine store. I am not in the position to pay a monthly fee yet.

So currently the Square Online Store will only charge tax on orders within your state. If a customer lives in another state no sales tax will be applied to the transaction.
I will make sure to pass your feature request along to the Product team for enabling sales tax on out of state customers. Although, I know this currently isn't on our road map right now. So I can't make any promises that it will be implemented anytime in the near future @SoapbyBespoke.
