Trying to remove our square stand from our bar top and we can't get it.
Any tips or tricks? We used the adhesive mounting method as we thought it would be easier to move when the time came...

Hey,
To remove the adhesive base, you may consider using a "black stick" like this to pry it off: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TOFFNQ.
Once you get one side started, you should be able to push the stick in and pop the plate off the counter.
Alternatively, you might try using a paint chisel, however, we recommend you cover the chisel in thick paper to prevent scratching the surface.
If you need a replacement adhesive plate, please let me know.
I hope this helps out, but please let me know.

Hey @lodee
Are you talking about the Square Register?
It's super difficult if not impossible to remove the metal plate from the Register if it's not secured to a table.
Maybe use a Command Strip or 3 to secure it to a surface, then twist to remove the plate, and then remove the command strips to get the plate off of the table?
Hope this helps!

Hello, I need to remove the adhesive plate from my countertop and I am unable to. I have been on the phone with Square customer service for over an hour now, and the person I spoke with couldn't even understand what I was referring to. Square, please provide a solution ASAP.

@offtrack I am so sorry that you're having this experience with your Square Stand and with our Support team. @Thorntonriveror also had a similar issue recently. Hopefully they can provide some tips that they used to remove the adhesive plate as well.
In case you missed the solution in this long thread, I've posted our tips below:
To remove the adhesive base from your counter top or cash drawer, you may consider using a black stick to pry it off.
Once you get one side started, you should be able to push the stick in and pop the plate off the counter.
Alternatively, you might try using a paint chisel, and covering the chisel in thick paper to prevent scratching the surface.
Please let me know if you continue to run into issues. Thank you!
