Hi everyone!
While you can accept International Cards, you will need all of the information to be 100% correct. If you're receiving an incorrect ZIP or Postal Code message, you'll need to have your customer verify this information with their bank.
When you enter card information in manually, we cross-reference the information to what the bank has on file. If any of that information comes back as incorrect, the payment will decline.
In regards to @VanKalkerFarms comment, if your Square account was created in the United States, but you're traveling to a different country like Canada, you would not be able to process payments, as you can only process payments in the country that you activated your account in. We do not have cross-border functionality even though Canada is one of our supported countries.

Hi there, @MoveinStyle 👋 Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community! Happy to have you join us! Welcome.
I've gone ahead and merged your post into an existing thread of Sellers who were also having issues with Canadian based activation and transactions. One quick check - can you confirm you are on the Canadian version of the Square site? - this can sometimes alter activation requirements. Just to be sure, I will link it here.
I would also take a look at these helpful troubleshooting steps for activation. They should be able to assist in troubleshooting the issue for you.
Let me know if that gets you where you need to be! I want to make sure this gets solved for you.

@guruycsws. thanks for posting! Assuming you're having trouble entering the postal code for manual entry, try entering 5 zeros. That trick usually works for accepting international cards.
Hopefully this helps

I am looking to work with a client in France and I am in the U.S and wondering if this is possible. The conversation made it a little more confusing. I would still be sending the payment from the U.S so would that work?

Welcome to the Community, @emco -
Yes, you would be able to process international payments for your client in France. Check out this Support Article with the steps on how to get that accomplished.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
