Do Square Contracts have end-to-end encryption?

I know that Square payment services have E2EE, but what about Square Contracts? I am required to follow HIPAA regulations and am considering using this service for my practice policy agreements, but only if it uses E2EE as well. Many thanks.

Hi @smoothieartist! Contracts are not encrypted.

Just to unpack a bit - our security policies are designed to protect both you and your customers. Square is not subject to HIPAA, we facilitate your HIPAA compliance. If you’re subject to HIPAA as a Covered Entity or Business Associate (as defined in HIPAA) and use the Services in a manner that causes Square to create, receive, maintain, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) on your behalf, then you are required to agree to the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (“HIPAA BAA”).

Square Sellers are responsible for determining whether they are subject to HIPAA requirements and whether they intend to use the Services in connection with PHI. If you need physical communications delivered by mail, please visit our Support Center.
