Can a customer select an item when booking a service?

Is it possible for a customer to select an item when booking a service? That way when they are scheduled, I know what item is going to be used. Not sure if this is already an option. If so, can someone show me? Thank you!

Hey @Musiciannow!

Thanks for surfacing this question

What you're looking for is currently a feature request. You would only be able to add the items to the cart when checking someone out for an appointment. Let me know if you have any questions about this! 👩🏼‍💻

So that means it can only be done manually? Not when someone books an appointment online?

There's no way for a customer to be booking an appointment using a Square Appointments booking site and add both services and items to the cart.

However, if you happen to have a Square Online site, you can list your items here and also integrate your booking site so at least they'd go to the same URL to purchase your items and/or book an appointment.

Alternatively, if you manually create the appointment, you can add items but the customer still won't be able to.

So the reason why I am asking is because I LOVE how the items look when someone is selecting something. It’s very organized and detailed.

I am using Square to book online lessons for my music studio. I did a test to see how for example, vocal lessons, will look for an item and I love how I can have my students select their time frame as well as how many lessons they want.

the only issue is that they need to select a date.

when I create a service, I don’t want to create more than one variants and make the page look bulky. With the feature that Items have when checking out, it’s easy to handle and looks nice to look at.

so I guess that is what I’m requesting? So that when a student selects a start date and time, they can select the item in featuring, in this case types of instruments, and then from there, they can select the timeframe of lessons and how many lessons they want. Then they can pay from there.

I hope I explained it well lol but that’s what I’m looking for.
