Can multiple rules be applied to discounts?

I’m trying to set up staff discounts which are only available on certain items on the menu.  Certain bar items from the bar menu for example and nothing from the kitchen menu? Surely this is possible.

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Can I apply multiple rules to discounts? I.e. 50% staff discount on alcohol only?

For this type of discount, you could utilize the Discount Rules section of your discount setup. Here, you can select from the options below to apply your discounts automatically. However, it is not possible to add more than one type of rule to a Discount.
