wireless chip reader & iPad3

Our wireless chip reader will not work off-line.  Have we missed something?  The battery is charged and bluetooth is on.  It works fine at home where we have wireless.  Often when we use the square wi-fi is not available.  Solutions????

The Bluetooth is only the connection between your wireless chip reader and your iPad, you will need connection either Wi-Fi or cellular to connect to square from your iPad in order to complete the process.

is charged, it flashes the orange lights but can not pair. it worked for two weeks then blue tooth failed intermitting at first then nothing.

Have you tried the steps for troubleshooting the Contactless + Chip Reader?

Give these a try and let us know if these don't work.
