Can I Setup a "2 items for 1 price" Option?

Hello everyone!

I've always given the option to my customers of "get 2 items for 1 price" type of deals and I've given such deals successfully in the past. So far, I'm a little lost. I've tried out different categories, but that doesn't seem to work and I'm tring out the Item Modifiers. Tell me, is there a way to set up the option, "get 2 items for 1 price"?

If so, please tell me how. Thanks so much for your time.

hi @JCrockettArt1 you can set up the item choices in Modifiers.  Just need to go back in and actually assign the modifiers to an Item.  So if you were to create an item, say "2-Item Combo" you can have all the availale choices as modifiers.  The 2-Item Combo would have a price and they can select the two items from the modifer list.

Hope that helps.

So, let me see if I'm reading this correctly. If I did a "Get 2 11" x 14" artworks for $100" deal, in the Modifiers, all the customer would have to do is select the choices they want and they would only pay said amount?

I'm asking this because what I'm trying to do is avoid having to continuously manually adding the price in every time multiple pieces get sold at once. Even though it's easy, I do want to make sure that the customer would be able to select the 2 items they want and pay only what the deal is offering.

Please correct me if I'm misreading this. Thanks so much for your time.

That is correct.  You can also use the modifier to add an additional cost.

Let's say you sold a picture for $100.00 and in the modifiers you had, Case, Frame, Tube.

You could include the Case and Tube for Free but if they want the frame as an add-on it is an extra $20.00

You can leave the prices off the modifier for just selections.

Example.  I order a Sandwich.

One set of Modifiers - Bread

Under Bread you can choose from 6 different breads.

Another set of Modifiers is Cheese or Condiments.

I may only charge extra if the selection was Gluten Free Bread.

The key is to make sure that all of the items they can choose from are in your modifier list.  (This also does not flow for inventory management)

Oh wow! Thanks so much for this. It's going to help me out alot because when I do physical transactions and this happens, that way I won't have to continuously keep adding the price in manually. This makes sense. Thanks so much and thanks for the response.

is there a way to do this but with the items flowing through inventory as well? i'm trying to do a "bag meal" with a sandwich and chips but the customer needs to be able to chose their sandwich type and chip option and it needs to be updated in inventory.
