Add unpaid hours to timecard for contractors

I am trying to use square payroll and want to add contractor hours at the end of each week manually, however when I add the timecards they are recorded as 'paid' hours...is there no way to pay employees by inputting hours manually? Please help...

I think I figured it out...you go to 'pay contractors' and then hit import timecards
