[New] Cash App Pay for Invoices: another way to get your invoices paid

Hi Sellers! 👋

 

We’re excited to announce that you can enable Cash App Pay as a payment method, giving your customers the ability to pay outstanding invoices directly from their Cash App balance. Currently, Square Invoices supports a number of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfers, Gift Cards, Afterpay, and now: Cash App Pay!

2 - What’s new in this update?

 

Now you can accept payment directly from Cash App, where your customers can pay invoices using their current Cash App balance or linked debit card.

 

3 - How to access the new features.

 

To enable Cash App Pay, simply select Cash App Pay as an accepted payment method when creating an Invoice.

 

On Dashboard

  1. Go to Invoices in your Square Dashboard 
  2. Click on Create Invoice
  3. Fill out customer information and invoice details
  4. Under Payment options, select Cash App Pay
  5. Fill out final details
  6. Preview, save, or send your invoice

On mobile

  1. Open the Square Invoices app
  2. Select Invoices and tap + to create a new invoice
  3. Fill out customer information and invoice details
  4. Under Payment methods accepted, select Cash App Pay
  5. Fill out final details 

Review invoice details and hit Send invoice.

4 - Benefits of the new features.

 

This new payment method gives your customers another quick and easy way to pay you, while still allowing you to manage your business tracking and reporting with Square Invoices. 

 

Cash App Pay processing rate is 2.9% + 30¢ per invoice. There are no set up or hidden fees.

 

Cash App Pay is a safe and secure payment option protected by end-to-end payment, security, authentication plus dispute and chargeback management from Cash App. We take on liability for consumer fraud*.

*Consumer fraud means an unauthorized payment, pursuant to Regulation E, 12 CFR Section 1005.2(m), made in connection with a Cash App account. Consumer fraud does not extend to other instances of consumer abuse or fraud, including, but not limited to, referral abuse or collusion, or to payments a merchant knew or should have known were unauthorized. For the avoidance of doubt, Cash App's liability coverage does not extend to fraud involving fraudulent merchants, fraudulent merchant activity, or any form of collusion or bad acts involving merchants.

 

Cash App Pay is only available in the US. At this time, it is only available in English.
