New: Issue refunds to eGift Cards!
You can now easily refund past purchases to digital eGift Cards directly from your point of sale. Refunding to eGift Cards is a great option for your business - theyโre free to use and the perfect way to offer your customers store credit. No additional hardware or physical plastic gift cards are required! When you issue a refund to a digital eGift card, your customer will receive an email with their balance and a gift card redemption number. When they are ready to come back and spend their balance, they can just show you their eGift card to use their credit.
Making You Aware of the Change to Eight-Digit BINs
To prepare you for the change to an eight-digit Bank Identification Number (BIN) or Issuer Identification Number (IIN), weโre running through the key information you need to know. The new eight-digit BINs and IINs come into effect on April 22, 2022. Square has performed the necessary updates to our systems to support this change and there is no impact to sellers. Square sellers do not have to do anything to support 8 digit BINs.
Square Point of Sale now supports CAS PD-2 scale
We expanded support for the CAS PD-S scale to all models of Square Stand, including Square Stand (1st and 2nd generations) for 10.2" or 10.5" iPad in addition to previous support for Square Stand (1st generation) for 9.7" iPad and Square Terminal and Android devices.
