Im wondering if anyone knows the ratio that your photos are to be set at in order to be actually seen correctly.

Hi there, @thedisruptivega - thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community! Welcome!
According to our photo resource here, for best results, use images that are 72 PPI and at least 1,000 pixels in width or height. Save images files using the sRGB color profile to ensure color consistency. Large image files can affect page loading speed, so avoid uploading images that are larger than 1MB in size.
If you continue to have issues regarding your photos and orientation, we would recommend reaching out to our Support Team so they can get some 'hands-on' visibility.

HI, the images would need to be 1:1 and adjusted in Home Page Featured, Shop All and Item Page description.
Hope this helps!

thedisruptivega , did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue. Square help tema says Etsy is sending thumbnail size photos. Etsy is only giving me the canned response about the file size. Someone mentioned a zoom button in Square. I don't have that option because I'm on the free version for now. Please keep me updated. I'm on a mac importing from Chrome and I tried Safari also. Free Square account.

I did find where to change the cropping. It's not under item inventory. Go to Home > Online > Website > Edit Site >Select Page "Shop All" from dropdown. Then select Item List and you'll see some options including cropping. This is where the zoom button is if you have that option.
