Subscriptions - how to not make the payment recurring

We have set up our clients with subscriptions for their products, which are recurring (as we liked how this worked better than recurring invoices, because of the unique invoice numbers, etc.). However, our client prefers to pay the invoice when they receive it, rather than automatically. We set it up with "pay  invoice" initially, but each time they pay, it automatically changes it over to pay automatically the next time. Is there a way for them to "pay once" rather than "pay recurring" when paying for the subscription, or to stop Square from changing the payment settings automatically.

What you have in mind would probably be a Feature Request.  As you know the subscription business model is a business model in which a customer pays a recurring price at regular intervals for access to a product or service.  Currently sending an Invoice would be your work around for customers who want to pay once.  Just a thought but, maybe providing a choice for customers would be something useful - you could offer a Subscription or a One Time Payment.
