Donate a % of sales

hey everyone.  does anyone here donate a % of sales to nonprofits? Our previous POS had this built in. We started using Square for farmers markets, but haven't found a clean way to do this. Any advice? (in the US)

Hello Cr8ash,

Although you can easily accept donations using Square, I don't believe there is a feature or option that would do what you have in mind.  You may want to look into submitting a Feature Request.

My friend, @JK_Fiber_Art has already jumped in here with a fantastic answer. Right now, while you can accept donations using Square, there is no way to directly give a portion of a payment to a non-profit. Is that what you are trying to do? 

You could always put up a sign that you're donating a portion of the sales, so customers will feel more inclined to purchase. 

Jk_Fiber_Art also proposed making a feature request. Our product teams take a look at these boards in the Community quite often to bring wanted features to the Square platform.
