"Top Up" for Donations

Hello! I'm new to Square and will be using it at my local Christmas market stall 😊. I plan to ask customers if they'd like to make a donation to our local animal shelter when they make a purchase. I've already reached out to the shelter, and they’re fully supportive of this initiative. What’s the best way to set this up on Square? Are there any important considerations or potential implications I should be aware of before I get started?

Perhaps an item code linked to a UPC they can scan with no set price, set to non taxable. you could report the sales of said item to your accountant for adjustment on your books when the donation is made
