Hi! Just wondering if anyone knows a way to set a reminder so that the POS will alert my staff that an invoice needs to be filled for that day? We own a donut shop and I'm thinking similar to the way online orders alert us, it would be great if invoices would alert us the same way. Thanks!

You can create a note under the customer profile and set a reminder for a specific date and time.
When the reminder goes out, it pops up on the POS and sends an email to your main email account.
In fact, it pops up on every device you are running the square POS app and signed in on.
I keep it on my phone, so I get alerts there frequently.
Unfortunately, I just noticed, if the POS is left on, I don't get a pop-up. At least on iPad.
However, it does show up on the notifications tab on the POS.
I just did a test, if I sign in as one of my employees, I have to enter a manager passcode to access Notifications.
It appears you can give access, but you have to "Grant access to view and edit business and device settings."
I'm not too keen on that idea. I'm not sure why Notifications can't be separate.
Except I think they sometimes send you Loan offers and such through this channel.
Maybe square needs to make this separate.
I guess if you have a manager with access to this, then it might work for you.
Or keep an old phone/tablet with square signed in with the screen locked so it pops up and hopefully staff will hear the alert. Or just set your POS device to lock screen after a certain period so the alerts will pop-up, but if these alerts are set during a time you're regularly using the device, it still won't pop up.
Long story short.... Yes, but depending on your setup, there could be complications....
