Hi, my name is Nancy Gobee and I am retired and an exceptional crafter making purses, assorted crocheted items, Holiday decorations, kitchen items and so much more.  I have been using Square to take payments for 5 years at the craft fairs I do every year. I just started my Square online store this year and hope that it reaches buyers to sell my products.

Good morning! I'm Steven the founder of The Grilled Cheese Kitchen in Fort Myers, FL. We've been using Square since we opened in Nov 2018. I originally joined the Seller community to learn about new Square products & services that would help us market our business better and to, hopefully, help Square develop those products and services in a way that helps all retailers.

Hi! I'm Marianne Hawkspirit Gainey, and I am the owner of Sacred Connections in Shermans Dale, Pennsylvania!  I've used square for many many years, even way before we had our brick and motor store.
I joined the sellers community because there and many ti[s and helpful suggestions, others may have had tech problems/not know how to do something, then I can search for information there.  Also sometimes I see things I did not know about either!  Also a great place to connect with others.

Hi, I am the owner of an on-line quilt fabric shop featuring select world renowned designers. Business boomed during covid.  Now we are holding retreats and doing more 'subscription box' business.  It would be very helpful to have a community to discuss ideas to make more creative, setup payment options at the retreats with the 'pop-up' shop.  Taking payments in person is not possible with the current wordpress website (which has wonderful seo) so we need quick but efficient check out solutions. We are excited about the charging station too!

I am the office manager for Robertson, Worsham, Gregory, and Giffin, PLLC - a law firm, and was looking for the answer to this question:

Is there a charge after a credit card is declined several times? I tried a manual charge when the client failed to pay from the invoice on their terms of payment and then I waited a couple of days and tried another manual charge and it was declined again.

Hello I am Travis, 

         My Husband and I own Owens Market LLC. We are a conveyance store with a full deli. I closed the store back in January of 2017 and was using Square at that time and loved it a lot. When we reopened the store again in September of 2021 there was no other option than Square for us because of all the features it offers for us and our staff. From payroll to inventory tracking and labor management I must say this is truly one of the best systems I have seen. Square not only replaced a stand alone register and time clock but it also replaced our credit card processing company back in 2017 and all the unknown fees we would see at the end of each month. 

 

Some of the other things we use square for is Marketing and the customer loyalty program. I also enjoy all the App integrations that have taken place over the years . One of those being able to accept EBT now. That is one less piece of equipment having to be on our counters. Even now we recommend Square to other business owners  as much as we can because of how much integration with bookkeeping apps and other important things the system does for us. 

 

In closing I just want to say thank you for not only developing a great app for a wide verity of companies but to continue to grow and expand the things that can be done with it .

Im Brandon, owner and operator of Reaver Forge in Raleigh, NC. I specialize in architectural and ornamental ironworks for homeowners, and have been using square since 2016. Square makes everything easy to track. I have a number of different inventory pieces, for the most part all made by hand by me, so saving the extra time tracking my inventory really helps to reduce stress and overworking (all my business paperwork is completed after I put my son to bed, leaving little rest time). 

 

I initially came to the seller community to learn how to fix settings in my account. I have issues now and then with my reader not linking and things. This all led me to now be a part of the Beta community as well. I have learned alot about using square, and help most of the other shops in my location with issues they have with their systems.

Hi! I'm Janna Zinzi, co-founder of WanderWomxn Travels, a travel guide centering stories and tips for women of color and LGBTQ people. I'm new to the Seller Community and it's my time using Square as a vendor so I'm excited that there's a space like this to learn. I've used Square many times as a customer but as we relaunch our "Bazaar" featuring goods from international artisans, I'm glad to have this space as a resource of how to set up a solid foundation for our store. We will be doing events this year and using Square for ticket sales, as well as for pop-up shops and for our online bazaar. I'm always curious about new products and often need tech support so I'll be combing through here! Also looking forward to connecting with other small business owners who are into travel, own restaurants or other cool destinations to feature.

On your Square dashboard, click the Balance tab. This opens your available balances both in your square account and any savings accounts. Click your available balance, and look for the little cog wheel in the top left. Click that and it will display a drop down menu saying account statements and transfer settings. Click transfer settings, and it will open the transfer settings, allowing you to manage what outside account funds are transfered to. You can link a bank account and routing number for standard transfers, and a debit/credit card for instant transfers, as well as an account you want to use to transfer money into square from an outside account

Hi. I'm Charla, owner of Connected in Community, LLC a therapy practice in Indianapolis. I have been using Square for invoicing and card charging for over a year, but recently began using Square appointments. Most likely, I will use this space to trouble shoot technical issues and find solutions. I'm most interested in finding ways to make the scheduling, paperwork, and billing experience smooth for my customers v using multiple platforms smashed together. Hoping that Square will be able to house more of my needs in one space.

Hello, I recently moved my bookstore from one side of the country to the other.  I have used square for years and truly love it.  I t would be great to have a forum of other bookstores that use square.

Hello. I'm Josh owner of Rochester Photo Bomb LLC. Rochester photo bomb was started in 2017 and we provide photo booth rentals for parties. We found square and saw it as an easy way to invoice our clients easily from anywhere. Using square allows us to collect our deposits etc without having to meet clients to pick up cash or checks and this frees up time so we can be working on other things.

Hi, I’m Jiling, business owner of my Acupuncture clinic in Ventura, CA. I started the business 3 years ago, and have been using Square since we opened. 

 

I joined the Seller Community to connect with peers who own similar integrative health businesses, and get support for technical questions.

 

My current questions include: 

- How to navigate new changes with Square fees

- How to ensure patients who purchase gift cards receive gift cards, and can easily reimburse them for treatments

- Synchronizing contracts and new clients who book through the Square booking link

 

As a small business owner, I appreciate the free resources that Square offers, such as ease of scheduling, billing, and customer communications. I miss the automation of calendar syncing between appointments and my google calendar, and am now adjusting to doing that manually. I would love to have the calendar synchronization reinstated for the free plan, if possible. 

 

I greatly appreciate the gifts of Square. Being able to charge credit cards both in person and online, store cards, and automate recurring fees makes life so much easier for both me and my clientele. In the past when I have questions, emailing Square has been really easy. However, it is difficult to find out how to contact Square, and sometimes the website navigation can be a bit confusing on the back-end. Thanks for your support, and thanks for building a helpful platform and resource.

Hello, I’m Kelsie an owner of City of Fire Recording Studios. We switched over to square at the beginning of 2021, as it was a simpler and more operative interface for our business. We book appointments/sessions with our clients as well as offer merchandise selling. We love giving and receiving insight on the seller community pages and find it helpful. We’d love to see an option to book appointments overnight. It would help save us time of having to manually change session times.
