Customer Display Clarification

If we get an iPad capable of running the required OS or higher, is it able to be interacted with for signing and payment if we use an Android tablet and Square reader as the POS? What about if we are using the Square Terminal?

Currently we are using the Square Terminal as a customer facing screen, but the fact that it has no use outside of card payments, it is quite frustrating.

Our ideal setup is POS, interactable customer facing display, and KDS without needing to buy the square register or similar.

EDIT:
It appears that we cannot actually use a tablet as a customer facing display without connecting it to a 2nd Gen Square Stand and the Square Terminal cannot currently be used as a true customer facing display (just a customer facing card capture). I guess other than the customer facing display built into the Square Register there is no way to have a true customer facing display that I can find. Disappointing. I hope I am mistaken.

I tried using an Android Tablet as a display screen, which worked well EXCEPT customers went to sign it and you can not take input from the Android to the Ipad.  But if you get a Square Stand and Ipad you should be able to use the terminal as a Customer facing Display and capture device from what I have read  Here is Squares article about that:

Yeah, the Terminal can ONLY be used as customer facing after the order has been sent to it. So, if I want a customer to be able to see the sales breakdown I need to send it to the Terminal, then cancel the transaction, then re-review the sale and select the true method. Definitely not something I intend to do during regular business. While it's a nice addition for card users, I was really hoping customers could use it to see information as well as for me to capture their name, email, etc. Without that function in it was definitely not worth the price tag for my needs. For a fully stand-alone device I'm sure it's nice.

It looks like I also misunderstood that square does not appear to currently allow an iPad to function as a customer facing display without being connected to a 2nd generation Square Stand.

I had no intention of purchasing a Square Stand nor Register which is why I purchased the terminal. It looks like I'll need to sell off the Terminal and try to get a Stand then.

Edit: Actually it looks like even then it won't be what I am looking for so I might just be hosed until someone codes a 3rd party app to do it.
