Low stock alerts for managers (users with no Full Access permission)

Hi there,

 

I think it would be great if it was possible to ensure that managers would receive email notifications / low stock alerts even though they don't have Full Access permission.

 

As far as I understand, this isn't currently possible, but please correct me if I'm wrong. And if it is possible somehow, but only through the user's account, then I hope you'll consider making it possible to enable this for other users from a user account with Full Access permission. Hope that makes sense.

Hey @skafte, I hope you're well and thanks for this post. 

 

You are right, currently any Product or Feature Emails are automatically sent to your account email. 

 

At the moment we don't have the option to add additional recipients. I definitely see how this would be beneficial for our sellers so I'll put this down as a feature request, thanks for the feedback.

 

An idea would be to set up an automatic forwarding system with your email provider so that these emails are sent to your selected staff, however this most likely would mean that they would receive notifications for all the email alerts below that you have enabled, which I can imagine may not work for you.

Many thanks for your quick response.

 

I'm afraid the forwarding option won't be an option for us as we don't want to forward all emails – I might be able to set up an advanced forward rule of emails with a certain subject line and then find a solution in that way(?). I'll have a look and see what can be done, but I do hope Square will consider improving this area as it would be a lot easier if you could control it directly via Square instead of having to set up forwards.
