Hi All, i've just joined the community here, I've only been using Square for card processing for the last 6 weeks or so, before that i was using streamline/worldpay, i signed up with them over 20 years ago - have been running my one-man mail order business since 1996.

I wish i had found out about Square years ago!  The last few years business has been slow and getting slower (i operate in a small and shrinking market) and some months worldpay have taken more in fees than the total i have put through my terminal - crazy!

Anyway, I'm 54 years old later this month, have been in mail order for most of my working life and as mentioned above, been self-employed for 26 years. 

Married, dad, grandad, hifi fan, believe in ghosts & UFO's (have seen both) and live in an odd little cottage in the middle of the woods - the house i was born in!

I hope everyone is well and i wanted to say : 

1/ don't let things get you down, better times are coming. 

2/ remember you can't please everyone all the time. 

3/ every no is a step closer to the next yes.

4/ don't beat yourself up for any mistakes you make - learn from them instead.  

5/ family and friends are more important than money
