zip is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous.

Hello,

I have just opened a store, I sell digital downloads. I wanted to test the site so I ordered some files from myself. The files I made 'free' downloaded just fine and worked correctly with no error messages. The files I paid for downloaded with the error message 'zip is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous.' I need to get around this problem before real customers can buy from my site. Does anyone know how to fix this please?

Thank you,

Gemma.

That sounds like something your browser or some kind of security software is showing; we don't do any kind of modifications to files you add to a digital product, so the zip you are downloading is identical to the one you uploaded to the product.

Thank you for your reply Adam.

That was my first thought, but I have got others to buy the files too, on different computers, and they have the same problem. The free files download just fine, but once they purchase the files the files show the danger warning. I’m thinking / or rather hoping it is because it’s a brand new website and domain, and that it might need a day or so to authenticate before it works correctly? I’m pulling my hair out trying to find a solution to fix this issue. ☹

Hmm... Can you make a hidden free product which uses the same zip as one of your paid products and try that? If you get the message again, can you get a screenshot of what you are seeing?
