paypal upgrade
Hi Weeblyers
I got this email today - is it genuine?
"
Earlier this month, we notified you that your PayPal account connection must be updated to the newer, more user friendly version by June 23, 2020 in order to continue using PayPal as a checkout method. Reconnecting requires a PayPal Business account, but there’s no cost to upgrade your existing account, and switching will not change your transaction-fee structure.
Please update your checkout settings as soon as possible to ensure you do not lose the ability to process transactions through PayPal. For more information, please read our faq"
I suspect it is a very well done hoax - it even has the correct weebly address if you 'reply' to it! But the links all seem dodgy when you hover over them = iterable.com
And im getting paypal orders! So i thought i should mention this to stop people falling for it!

It is genuine but a little misleading imho...
Interesting piece on the Weebly FAQ regarding this ( https://www.weebly.com/app/help/us/en/topics/upgrade-your-paypal-account )...
"What happens if I don’t upgrade to Paypal Checkout?
While your current PayPal account will continue to work if you don't upgrade, Weebly will no longer support it. We want to ensure that you and your customers have the best experience possible, so we strongly recommend that you update."

Hi many thanks!
I've checked the settings and I already have business paypal and there is no 'update' button so I disconnected and re-connected. Does this mean I'm sorted!?
Thanks Mike

I've just read the link you sent again and it appears disconnecting and reconnecting solves the issue assuming you have a business account - so I think I'm sorted!
