Using my own domain will ssl come as standard.

I am looking to sign up to weebly using my own domain on the starter pack will my weebly site be ssl secure, or will I have to purchase it from weebly? If so how much will this cost me.

Thanks

Just added ssl to one of my Weebly/Godaddy sites. Easy but is Weeble $10 charge one-time or recuring?

Hi there. As long as you do not change the site address for the website it is a one time charge.

Adam, it seems that you were mistaken when you wrote this:

imageIn the age of FREE SSL Certs from LetsEncrypt (and others like it), why in the world woud you be requiring anyone, (especially customers that have been with you since the days of 10 sites for one Pro account), to pay a monthly premium for an SSL certificate?

I really wanted to believe you that these would be "Free for all of Weebly", but NO!, I am expected to upgrade each site to the Business Plan just to get what people are giving away for FREE! other places!

I am very disappointed (or hopefully wrong)... which is it?

At least being able to add our own free SSL from our domain registrar/host or from letsEncrypt should be an option.

I do not think I am alone on this complaint.

Please tell me they are free and I am wrong, or that your business admits it made a mistake and will be giving them away with ALL PAID PLANS...

THank You for Doing Your Best,

Long long long time suporter,

Aaron

It looks like SSL hadn't been provisioned for your account yet, @aaronsuncamacho. I've done that for you so you should be able to enable it for any sites in My Sites. We're still working on this for the Designer Platform, so it won't affect anything there just yet.
