Unable to edit Store Emails and customers not receiving (ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAILS)
As of April 5th, I am no longer receiving copies of order confirmation emails and my customers are not receiving them either. I thought that maybe if I edited the email that it would force it to send them again, but when I go to edit now, it says that an error occured and to try again later. I emailed Weebly support and they told me that I have to create a user profile, which I had already tried to do, just to get another error message from Weebly saying that I am not able to promote just yet . Order confirmation emails are one of the automatic store emails sent when orders are placed and not a promotional email anyway (ie: gift cards, reviews), so what does this have to do with that. And, even if it did allow me to create a profile (which it is not), that profile option had been there for awhile, yet I had never had to create a profile before and it all worked fine (able to receive order Confirmations, and customers receiving their order confirmation/proof of order and I could edit the order confirmation email and other emails) so why would that cause the emails to stop working now??? It is not just the order confirmation email that isn't working- I don't really utilize the others but when troubleshooting the order confirmation email, I realized all of the other emails having to do with orders are not working either ( items shipped email, item refunded email, and items cancelled email). But all I care about is the order confirmation email!! Everything worked fine until last Thursday the 5th and that is the last order confirmation I received. I also try to send a test email and it never comes! Anyone else getting errors when they try to edit their order confirmations? Anyone else have this problem or get emails from customers telling them they are not receiving their order confirmations (which by the way is also their receipt for ordering)? I have been emailing back and forth with support since Friday and am getting nowhere so any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Here are screenshots of the errors I am getting when I try to edit the emails and when I try to create a user profile for store emails.

Hi Bernadette, It is vita-mealie.com I got it to send me a test email, but there is nothing in the body (ie: the actual order confirmation email I have made to send to customers isn't in the email). All that there is, is a subject of "Thank you for your order! Your download is ready! And that is it. But then an order came in right after that and no copy of the order confirmation from my website. Just the payment notification from paypal... So, one step forward, two steps back!

I think setting up a Sender Profile in Store > Emails would probably help, although that shouldn't necessarily prevent emails from being sent out. Usually when you see this they just got filtered as spam. Hmm.. I wonder if there's something a little funny because your site is a very old site that has been grandfathered into features instead of upgraded.

Hi Adam,
Yes, you are correct, I have had my store pretty much since Weebly opened. They began in 2006 and my store was opened in 2007 so as things changed, my store was grandfathered in because I had been with them from the get go. I tried to create a profile because when I created a support ticket, that is what was suggested I do to see if that would help, but I get a message that I can't create a profile just yet. I will attach the screenshot for you of the message that I get when I try to create a user profile. All of the emails that I am having trouble with show that they are not required to have an upgrade to use and I didn't have trouble until Thursday (the 5th of April). Customer support has escalated my ticket to senior support team so hopefully this will have a remedy soon. If you can think of anything that it could be, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi appman, I haven't heard from the senior support team with a fix yet and am still not receiving any order confirmation emails, nor are my customers. I also still cannot get the emails to load in editor, which is why when I send a test email there is a subject line but no body to the email (because while the emails are there, they aren't loading when you go into the edit screen, or after you add something to the header or footer). I will post a reply if I hear anything and would appreciate the same if you figure something out. Thanks!

Hi Colin, and Bernadette,
I received an order a moment ago and the order confirmation came through and my mouth opened so wide that my jaw about hit the floor . At first, I thought that it maybe started working on it's own all of the sudden, but I then noticed that an email had came through about 28 minutes earlier from Weebly customer support saying that I should be able to edit the emails now. And, while I had received that order a few minutes ago with the order notification (I know it sounds silly, but I'm just still so thrilled about that order confirmation email coming through), I wanted to check and make sure that I could indeed edit the store emails and that they would load without any errors, and sure enough, they did just great!!
So, Colin, I hope that your order confirmations are working now too!! If not, then maybe CS will get to yours shortly as well (if it isn't working yet, be sure that you keep inquiring on your open case in Weebly support). Helen with Senior Customer Support said that this problem was a known site issue and that they were working on it so you and I are not the only ones that have been experiencing this. Below is a copy of the email I received from Weebly support in case it :

Your issue may be different @appman. What is the website name so we can take a look at your email setup?

Actually Bernadette, appman's issue sounds exactly the same as mine. Customers are getting blank order confirmation emails and I am not receiving confirmations at all. I don't know if he has tried to edit the emails and see's that error like me, but I would think that he would get the same error since the customer emails are blank (emails aren't loading due to the error).

Thanks so much for your patience as our team looked into this for you. You should be able to update this now, but please let us know if you encounter any further difficulty once you've added the Sender Profile to your site in Store > Store Emails.
The issue you've described regarding order notification emails is a known issue our developers are currently investigating. We'll let you know as soon as we have an available update. I'm very sorry you've run into this problem, and thanks for your patience while our team works to get this resolved.
Thank you!
