“This store accepts credit cards” is gone!

We sent a help request (#4859953) to Weebly 24 hrs ago with no response.

At checkout, it only shows “This store accepts PayPal”. We have always accepted credit cards via Square and now the accepts credit card symbol is gone!

We are connected to Square, with a green checkmark and “connected to” on our store setup page. We were able to make a purchase using a credit card. However, our customers will think we only accept PayPal and abandon their cart!

We need Weebly to immediately restore the “This store accepts credit cards” on our store.

Sorry for the trouble, @skottiusa. It looks like this is a bug that our engineers are working on fixing, and is specific to Square. I don't have an ETA on when they will have it fixed, though. Thanks for your patience!

Thank you, Adam for the reply. Day 5 (that we know of) and no fix.

Imagine a brick-and-mortar retail store that had a sign saying “We do not accept credit cards”. What would happen to that store? Is an online store any different? People make purchases with credit cards – tell them they can’t and they walk/abandon cart. Bugs happen (too many with weebly in my opinion), but a bug that is essentially driving away customers who had decided to purchase and went to checkout needs a dedicated, full-time response to the problem. Can you confirm that this issue is a priority and that engineers are working FULL TIME to resolve the issue and get your customers’ stores functioning properly again? Your customers are losing their customers.

Hello Chris! Our team is indeed working to get this resolved ASAP. Your customers will still be able to use their cards at checkout normally in the meantime.

Customers can use a credit card IF they go as far as "Payment Information" during checkout, but 2 screens prior they see this (and we are actively connected to Square):

So, definitely not "as normal", but thank you Queso for letting us know getting this bug fixed is a priority.

seems to be fixed now - credit cards, debit cards and paypal - brilliant! Now we just need 'payment by other methods' - e.g. bank transfer, cash, cheques etc!
