Order Prepared email

Question regarding 'Order Prepared' email which is available under Setting > Emails.

When does this email is being sent out? 

So far, none of my clients have received it.

That email is used when you're using pickup as a fulfillment type, @JaneCraft. When you set a pickup order to ready status, it can send that to a customer to let them know that the order is prepared and ready for pickup.
