Order Confirmation Email Address

Hi everyone!

Can someone please tell me how to change/view the email address my order notifications are sent to?  I missed my last customer's order because it went through to an old email address.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew. You should be receiving the order notifications to the email address on file for your account. You can change this from the Account page on your dashboard. You can also download the Weebly app for Android or iOS to receive order notifications on your phone. Smiley Happy

Hi @kirstenroach the order confirmation is always going to go to the account email. That said, you can setup a sender profile for each store so that the customer sees the appropriate email.

is this limitation of the order confirmation only being sent to the account email still correct? i also manage multiple site for several clients under my account. is there any way to work around this and have the order confirmation emails directly sent to the appropriate email address???

Hi @mewaschuk It's not possible with the type of account you are using, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure it is something that we plan on adding in, but I don't have any type of timeframe. You can try setting up an email forward in your email account so that the order confirmations forward to the appropriate address.

Thanks,

From your dashboard after logging in, click on the account name on the top right and choose Account or Account Settings. On the page that loads, click on "manage profile" on the left and you'll see an option to change the email address for your account. Order notifications are sent to this email address, so this is the one you want to change.

Adam, are you able to take one of the associated email addresses off of the order confirmation emails? Two people are marked as editors on our website but we only want one to receive the confirmation emails.

Order confirmation emails will only be sent to the email address of the account that actually owns the site, and shouldn't go to editors. Are your editors getting order confirmation emails?

No, editors are not receiving the emails. So there is no way for us to set up editors as recipients of emails then? The emails will only go to the website owner?

Thank you,

Kelly

Hi Kelly. At this time, only the account owner email will receive the order notification emails. We have an active feature request submitted with the product team, though. Hopefully it is something that can be updated in the system soon.

Okay, is there a way for me to link the submitted orders to another email address instead so that the order confirmation emails go to another or additional person?

In other words, is there ANY way for me to get my order confirmation emails to another/second email?

You can look into email forwarding within your email account. I'm pretty sure you can set up keywords, or "send from" emails to automatically forward to an email you choose.

I have the same issue regarding the online store in our website. We need order confirmation emails to go to 2 x email accounts: one to the site owner (which we have), and one to the manager who desptatches the products. Has Weebly fixed this issue - as a vendor it is so important to have control over this aspect of order confirmations.

Hi @AbbeyAles It's not possible to send the email to multiple users at this time. I'm sorry I do not have any updated information regarding the issue.

Hi I have tried to change my email address that is registered with Weebly to my business email address that is registered with Square but when I try to manage profile all I can change is the owners name and then it's say if you want to change the emails address go to Sqaure. Square has the right details in it but Weebly doesn't. So my order confirmation emails are going to the wrong email address and the business name is incorrect in the heading of the email. Please can you advise how I rectify this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bernadette,

Doing some research as I am having similar troubles. I had some really frustrating issues with my email account and square emails (and test emails) weren't consistent and coming through, so I have changed to a different email account and have adjusted the email address in all aspects. This is also now my "account email", yet now the emails I wasn't receiving before are coming through, but they are sending to the old email address that is no longer listed!

Could you please shed some light?

Thank you,

Thalia

Did you change the email address within your Square account, @thaliat? Changing it there doesn't actually update the email address on our end, and we'd need to do that manually for you.

Hi Adam, thanks for your reply. Yes the email address has been changed throughout the Square Account, and Square Customer Service did not mention it would need to be changed through Weebly. Could you please let me know how we can get that sorted as I am currently working between two email addresses.

Thank you, Thalia
