Offering free shipping...but how?

Hi,  I am trying to ffer free shipping for all of my iron tea ware.  BUT I have to select each and every shipping method to include.  Not a problem if I hadn't had to set up shipping rates and services for each state AND every country.  I have so many options, I CAN'T do this!  I sat here and tried to do so, but the states don't show up in the drop down box so all of the shipping I have to selct is jumbled together making what should be a SIMPLE task...IMPOSSIBLE.  Oh, and Weebly erased and/or replaced the selections I had set up making it even more of a mess.  Just had another customer angry because he didn't receive free shipping.  FYI - I just visited my shipping settings page and there are literally hundreds of specific settings because of the way you've set up your shipping options.  Making coupons for shipping is now completely impossible and I've (AGAIN) driven customers off due to Weebly changes/'improvements'.  I'm sure you've helped some of your subscribers, but you've really messed my site up...again.  Sorry, but I'm really really really frustrated.

This is basic stuff here...help!

Are you trying to add a free shipping rate by editing an existing rate or adding a brand new one?  Click the "add shipping rate" link on the bottom left of the region you want to add it to, give it a name, and choose free shipping from the drop-down.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the reply.  But the shipping options still don't offer adding Free Shipping for specific *categories*.  And coupons don't work either.  I can't select a category or categories for coupons anymore....where did that option go?  I just went to try and create a new coupon and I can't apply that coupon to select categories *AND* when I try to select the shipping services...only the options of ALASKA are displayed.  ???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea what's going on but I'm about done.

Hey there! Sorry for the trouble. If you haven't yet, get in touch with live support, as they'll be able to go over things step-by-step and see what you're seeing, which should help get things solved faster.

BTW - I went to try and fix all of my pages with the coupon offer so I don't aggravate even more customers and found that the editor is messed UP. It's putting edit boxes where they don't belong, some of my buttons now showed "enter text here" and had lost what I'd entered months ago. Other titles, etc disappeared. WTF. Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that, Mary. 😕 Can you log out, clear your browser cache, then log back in? I think that should help with some of the odd things you're seeing in the editor.

As for your buttons, is there a page of your site where I can see this in the editor?

I am at a loss on how to offer free shipping on an individual product.  historically I have fixed the postage weights so that anything with an artificially set weight of 0.01 is assigned £0.00 shipping cost.  This is fine until someone orders two of the products.  this makes 0.02 and then a shipping rate is applied.  to fix this I have to artificially re-do ALL my shipping rates, which are based on weights.  and that means I have to fix all my product weights too .... its just not possible!!

How can I assign free shipping to a single product?

I'm finding weebly is now not meeting my needs - including not being able to resrict purchases on limited editions of products ie only one per customer.

Hi @TwigandNibble I responded to your other post since this thread is quite old. Thanks!

Weebly keeps getting worse with time.  I've submitted 4 requests to fix shipping and have had no solutions.  My site will fail to apply shipping to a physical product.  It treats the product like a digital download which means I can never clear it from the "pending orders" queue.  I lose about $8 every time this happens.  I asked Weebly to fix the problem or to discount my fees.  They didn't even respond when I asked for help that time.

Weebly is not for serious businesses.
