Note To Seller

Hello everyone,

Question:

I like the "Note To Seller" option at checkout, but for some reason a Note to Seller "option box" appears live in the product listing page, making it a bit cluttered. How can I disable the Note to seller option box showing in the listing page while keeping it to show only during check out?

It sounds like you are using a text input product modifier, @Taovin. You can remove modifier from a product by deleting the option on the item editing page. If you just wan the field there during checkout, you only need to have it enabled in Store > Setup > Checkout.

No, I dont have any text imput modifiers on my pages, only "select form a list", but text imput "note to seller" is still showing on my listing pages, it is confusing, frustrating and seems I cannot disable it.

I see what you mean. It's like it's cached as an option for the product.

Ok, they recommend removing all product options and SKUs from the product, saving, and then setting them up again. That seems to fix it so it doesn't include fields that shouldn't be there.

I did try what you have suggested me, but it dasn't work.

I deleted all variations, and modifiers in this following listing, and saved. BUT the note to seller still there

Can the developers do something about it? I have another couple hundeds of listings to create but i cannot proceed until is fixed.

Ps: yes the mounting hold the natural gemstone in plase only by tension/compression

I'm checking with our Advanced Support team now, @Taovin, since this might need to get escalated to them so they can resolve it. By the way, your rings are really attractive (I like minimalist designs). Are those gems purely held in place through the tension of the rings?

I don't see any updated on the bug, @Taovin. I'm very sorry about that! Out of curiosity, did you copy the product and then edit it, or did you create the product from scratch?

I remember an issue in the past where copying products would also copy over the original modifier options. Although, I'm not sure if this is quite the same. Do you remember the original product you copied off of and if it had that note to seller option?

I'm aware of it, and I did double checked all 22 items I've uploades so far, and none of them has any "note to seller" options. I do only have 2 modifiers, and bot of them are need to be selected from a list and NOT from tex imput, therefore still not idea how "note to seller" still showingimage. Please view image below.

It appears that if I make a new product from scratch, the note to seller doesn't show. This means that i should delete over a week of work and redo again?

I already uploaded 23 items and most of them are already listed in google, can you guys do anything about it? can you modify my already setup products? I think any bugs like this can be fixed.

Adam already opened a bug for the issue, although I don't know how long it will take for the engineers to resolve it. I'll see if I can get some more information about it for you. 

Is there a reason you added the option in the first place? Was it for a specific product? I actually think it's kind of smart to add it on the product page because a lot of people don't utilize it on the checkout screen.
