How good is Weebly to build an eCommerce website?

We all know that Weebly is a website-building tool that allows you to create your own website with no coding experience. A user can upload their site by selecting from templates or starting from scratch and then using drag-and-drop functionality to add content as desired.

We also know that Weebly has the option of adding an online store and enables users to be able to sell products on their sites for free.

However, there are some questions in my mind related to Weebly. I hope that you will provide me detailed answers to all my questions.

1) How good is Weebly to build an eCommerce website?

2) How good is Weebly for Web Design?

3) What are the advantages of using Weebly?

4) Is Weebly good for SEO?

5) What are the limitations of Weebly?

6) Does Weebly allow affiliate marketing?

7) What does it cost to create a Weebly website?

😎 How do I host a Weebly website on an external hosting server like  Hostgator or GoDaddy?

What I can do on WordPress in 10 hours, I can do on Weebly in 20 minutes, and Weebly will look better. I have had some compliments on my website and I have managed to get to the 2nd page on my main keywords by myself. It is easy to manage and is very affordable. I've used Weebly since 2016 and none of my (~18) sites have ever gone down, been hacked, or given me any trouble whatsoever. Weebly servers are managed, so you won't ever have to worry about your server.

The Weebly site editor and templates are very well designed.
As for friendliness, Weebly lets you have a free site

Hi bitmann27,

Thanks for your expert suggestion and good information to know the difference between WordPress and Weebly. You are saying that managing weebly dashboard and its coding takes less time as compare to WordPress. As you have used Weebly for your number of clients. I am happy, that all of your clients are totally saisfied with Weebly platform.

Actually there is one of my client from USA. He has custom PHP based Ecommerce website to manage stores and coupons for 10,000+ stores and brands. From last some months, he has done research on Shopify, Weebly, Oscommerce and Ecwid. And finally he comes at one point and selected to Weebly due to SEO and User friendly.

Now my client wants to trasnfer all of his website data from custom PHP to Weebly platform. I have a question, is it possible to migrate his custom website on Weebly platform. You guys please check his coupon website https://www.coupongot.com/ and let me know, how it can be possible. As i have a deadline from the client. So i have to fix it as soon as possible.

So many questions!   There are severe limits on website design, formating, color choices, etc.  The SEO is slightly better than it used to be, but it's still not good.  There are occasional bugs where you don't get notification of orders or the changes you make suddenly aren't showing on your site or Weebly stops working with other sites/apps.  But it hasn't been all bad.  Some things work okay and, if you're not wanting a really *professional* site, Weebly isn't too bad.  I'd try setting up a 'free' site to see what you think.  Get a feel for Weebly.  Who knows, maybe they'll be fine for your needs.
