How do Variables work?
I'm trying to understand how Variables (and possibly Categories) should be assigned to my items.
I run an apparel shop where I design/decorate shirts and I'm trying to set up my T-shirts, Hoodies, etc for the various items/color/size options - and then there is the decorations. So I will have:
- Orange T-shirts, Small-3XL;
- Orange Hoodies, Small-3XL
- Navy T-shirts, Small-3XL,
- Navy Hoodies, Small-3XL.
- Gray......etc etc
With each combination having its own unique SKU.
Then there are other factors like:
- Youth sizes (another option)
- Girls and/or Womens style
- the various prints that could go onto each, creating another layer of options.
To me the categories would be Mens/Womens/Girls/Youth and also T-shirt/Hoodie/Crew/Sweatpants/Shorts
And the variables would be Colors and Sizes. But I don't see how to assign 2 variables to a single item.
Does anyone have any experience with running their own clothing store? How do you set it up?

Thanks for posting, @DB22. If I recall, this might be a limitation to the editor you are using. I'm pretty positive we are working on making the items more like items on Weebly, i.e. multiple variables with individual skus, but I don't know what the timeline is like at the moment. I can try to get more info tomorrow, though.
I believe you can use modifiers to add the additional options you are looking for, although, the downside to this is modifiers are not trackable. 😕
@Adam Can you fact check me on this? Is there anything else I am missing for a work-around?
