Event - Terms and Conditions before purchase

Hello,

I am setting up an in-person training course and looking for the best approach to sell places.

I have set up an event and set a price. Is there a way to set Terms and Conditions before proceeding with the purchase?

Will need to include things like refund policies, cancellation, etc. I can see there is a "Returns Policy" and a "Store Policy". Neither sound like what I'm looking for and I may be mistaken, which would be the best one to add the T&C's before purchase in?

Hi, @pandalambda. We don't have an option for agreeing to terms and service on checkout. I believe this is a feature request, although I don't have a time frame for when it would be available.

Seems that this has been a fairly common request over the years. I need this feature too. My hope is that Weebly can bring this basic functionality to their offering soon.

I also need to have this, and have to move to another service that provides it.  Please notify us as soon as it is live.

Hi @Bernadette . Do you know that this feature is an obligation in Europe and if we do not have it we are breaking the law? It is clearly a big problem for all European sellers. How can you CONSIDER the feature request that was asked a few years ago and that is mandatory for us and so for you ? There is nothing to consider, it must be done, that's all. I do not want to seem unkind but your service is not complete. Please, try to understand us! If you offer your services in Europe, it should fit the standards here and protect us, your customers. I feel very misled. I wish you'll reply to my message.

Thank you for your prompt reply @Bernadette ! I would prefer to stay on Weebly because I appreciate the simplicity that it offers...and then, it should be easier to make a check box for everybody than provide a refund one by one (even if I recognize your effort and thank you for it). But, it is not just about me Smiley Sad so I hope this action will make your product teams aware of this urgent need.

Any news considering the "I agree"  check box for terms and conditions ?

This is an obligation in Europe and I have no clue of how I can add this feature on my web site !

No, unfortunately. I don't have any updates regarding the feature. Have you consulted a legal professional regarding this? We have 100's of users in Europe that run online stores without the need for a terms of service box on the checkout screen.

Hello again @Bernadette , there is no need to consult a legal professional.There is something called GDPR – The General Data Protection Regulation which is the European directive concerning the processing and circulation of personal data. Since May 25, 2018, all the websites of the countries of the European Union must comply with it or face penalties. Your users in Europe who run their stores without this need do not exist - they just don't know about, this is not the same. This is a quote : "The use of checkboxes is the way to get consent, and we should use separate boxes for each thing we wish to get consent for. The boxes must be clearly labeled, with links to any agreements included, and should be left unchecked so our users can check them themselves and if they do not actually click to accept the policy, consent will not be considered freely-given or unambiguous". This is what happens – because we do not have checkboxes on Weebly and that is why it is extremly important for us. I was talking about this in March, we are in November now, and nothing happened.
