Editing Product descriptions in Store

I no longer have free placement of my cursor to make changes inside my product description area(s) of the EDIT PRODUCT feature of my store.  It is allowing me to place cursor at the end of a paragraph, and also in some random mid-sentence locations, but not where I need to actually edit a word/phrase.  Anyone else having this issue?  I noticed it about a week ago.  Advice please?

I see what you mean, @ccisole. I'll take this to our engineers to investigate, although I was able to move the cursor into other parts of the text using the arrow keys.

Thanks for your speedy assistance. I appreciate you passing to your engineers to investigate.  In the meanwhile, I was successful in moving the cursor with the arrow keys, as suggested to make my immediate edits.

I'm having the same issue and although I've managed with using the arrow keys, it's a nuisance to deal with. Is there a recommended browser where this issue doesn't happen? 

I hope this is solved soon.

It seems to be very intermittent with your account, unfortunately. Smiley Sad Firefox was slightly better for me when I was testing it out for you. I've sent you a support ticket to the email address on file so that you can receive an update once the developers have a fix. Very sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

I think the original poster marked it solved because my first reply gave an answer, not that the issue itself had been resolved. Sorry about that! Hopefully this should get fixed soon as it can be very annoying when editing product descriptions.

Only one site right now but I've run across this on other sites in the past.

Its all products, specifically in the Short Description box.

firefox - sometimes couldn't get curser to even show up in that box

safari - could get the curser to show up but only at the beginning or end of a sentence. Then had to use arrow buttons to navigate to specific areas.

work around - copy/pasted all to text edit on desktop, edited content there and then copy/pasted back into short description box.

Our engineers have some fixes they are working for with this which will get rolled out in the hopefully near future; in the meantime using a different browser is often the easiest way to get around the problem. Sorry about that!

I have contacted the call center a three times since August last year regarding this issue.  Was told to change browsers twice and in November I was told that they are working on it.  However, I still can only move the cursor from the end of a sentence using the arrows. I have tried using multiple browsers and on multiple computers.

Sure hope they fix this soon.

I noticed the same results when I tested one of you products. However, I made a copy of the product, removed the formatting, and that seemed to fix it! Can you test it out and let me know if you are able to click on any word to edit? It should be the first product listed in your products tab. Thanks!

Having the same issue with all browsers. The arrow keys are not a good option as makes t difficult to insert links etc and is just time consuming.

Same issue here. I'm able to get around it by removing the formatting, doing a copy/paste, etc as some others in the community have reported. But, a real pain! Just wanted to do a +1 on this
