Don't want "add to cart" - want customer to print/create a shopping list

At this point, my company is wholesale only and does not take credit cards or do internet sales. We'd like to get there, but not yet.

So my question is this - I'd like our customers to be able to go in the Product section, customize their product that we've set up all the options for and, instead of "adding to cart" having some option that allows the "cart" or shopping list to be printed or emailed to us.

Each of our customers has a different discount level to the listed price (which we show on the product page) and all the pricing/scheduling has to go through our office to confirm.

I have seen this (https://community.weebly.com/t5/eCommerce/Hide-the-Purchase-Button-on-an-Individual-Product-Page/m-p...) where we can turn off the purchase button. That's ok, but I'd still like them to be able to create a shopping list of sorts that they can print and/or can be emailed to us for confirmation.

Thanks in advance!

I thought about but I don't think there's a way to do this unless you want to make all of the products have a zero dollar cost, then hide every single place on the site where the price is shown.  Even in that case order emails would still show the total price as zero.

It would work but might confuse customers.  Have you thought about using contact forms in the meantime? It wouldn't work as a cart, but could potentially work as an interim solution.

I'd also recommend adding this to our Vote on Features board, too:

Thanks for the answer. I figured it wouldn't really work, but worth a shot anyway. We'll probably go the route of hiding the "add to cart" button and forcing them to call us anyway.

I'll defintitely do the Vote on Features part.

That's another option that could work, too.

Thanks for posting that to the vote on features board!

Hi

How do you do that i.e hide the ADD TO CART or BUY IT NOW part of the store?

I've set up a store but I don't want to accept payments via the online store as my buyers are face to face purchasers.

thanks in advance
Carolyn

Go to Store > Settings and change your Store Mode option to "Buy Now".  That'll remove the cart from your navigation menu.  I'd also recommend that you not connect to any checkout providers; if someone tries to check out and you're not they receive a message that the online store isn't currently accepting payments.

I have developed a work around until Weebly comes out with a better solution.

I use the Upload File option to upload an active Excel file to a wholesalers only page. They are able to download it, fill it out and then email back to me. I then send them a one line (total only) PayPal invoice with the Excel File attached. It is not ideal but allows wholesalers to order without having to call in.
