Customer Accounts - access past digital downloads

Hi,

I'm sure this might have been asked before, but I did not see it come up in my search. I sell digital downloads to customers and have gotten feedback that they would like to have access to these files when they return to the site. I tried the Membership and Customer Accounts, and while you can see your order history, you do not have the ability to redownload your purchase. Is there something I'm missing, or is this not a feature? Thanks.

This is not currently a feature, although I can see how it would be useful. The only option at this time would be to create a password or membership protected page and upload the file to the page. This would obviously not be ideal if you don't want people having access to any of the items no matter their purchase and/or creating a ton of individual pages to host each file. It might make the most sense to just manually send the file if someone inquires. Their original email should also have the direct link to the file.

Thanks for your response. A lot of sites I visit that sell digital resources have this feature so that customers can have continued access to their resources.  I have over 600 digital resources so creating pages would be excessive.  The customers do have access through their emailed receipt, but a lot have asked for it to be a feature on the website.  I also update the files and would like clients to be able to go back in their account and re-download.  I'll suggest it as a feature to be added. Thanks.

That definitely makes sense and I can see how that would be incredibly tedious to recreate. Thanks for the feedback!
