Convenience fee

Our organization is wanting to charge an online payment convenience fee to customers paying through our site. How can this be done in Weebly using Square as payment processor?

Since we don't have that as a feature you would need to roll that cost into your products, e.g. "xl t-shirt $21.50 (includes $1.50 convenience fee)". If you need to add this on a per-order basis instead of per-item, you could add it to shipping rates, e.g. "Ground Shipping (includes $1.50 service fee) $11.50".

Is this option still not available? It seems like a pretty straight forward request. Essentially a line item for shipping but labeled "Convenience Fee" Instead of "Ground Shipping"

Not explicitly, though you could technically create a flat shipping rate and just call it "convenience fee".

What if the flat shipping rate (convenience fee) is for pick up items? the user will get prompted for shipping information, which is confusing.

If someone chooses pickup then it shouldn't use any shipping rates (including flat rates), @Hebert.

Hi Adam,

We are a non-profit offering pickup and delivery only - no shipping. We are also selling products for other vendors (eCommerce-style farmers market). We would like to add a flat service fee to all orders regardless of pickup or delivery. How can we do that?

Thanks for your question, @wfmessentials. Go to Settings > Pickup & Delivery, then click the Edit Location link for your location, then click the edit link for your delivery settings. You'll see an option there to add a service fee. We don't have an option to add a service fee for pickup at this time, though.

I love how they managed to work out how to charge us a 2.2% fee on every transaction processed online, regardless if it’s pickup or delivery.
And yet their incapable of adding it as an option for us so that we can cover that cost. What a joke

I have the same issue too!  We'd love it if we could add a convenience fee to a total order as all our sales are picked up, nothing is shipped.

I'm having the same issue - we are a non-profit and need the shoppers to incur the fee...how do you create a shipping fee for an individual item? All items have different pricing, so we would need to have a different fee for each. I cannot seem to figure it out.
