Re: Images missing from blog posts

Hi

Images have dissapeared from published blog posts.

Also if I go to the post to try to edit the image I get 'The image could not be loaded'.

If I try and create a new post and upload an image I get 'Upload complete' but the image is not there and the 'Upload Image' icon shows.

Any ideas, I presume this is a Weebly issue, is it affecting others?

This is happening on my blog post as well. Actually just the most recent blog that I posted this week. Images within my old blog posts are displaying as expected.

I've tried replacing the image which still results in the word "picture" displaying instead of the photo. I've also tried to add a new photo drag and drop but that doesn't work either. Finally I've tried to edit the image but the normal pop-up for editing images does not appear.

I get this sometimes but when internet connection gets interupted mid up load..

But also this issue fixed itself when i deleted the cache and cleared the cookies.

Thanks for your reply, I have tried clearing cache, different browsers and PCs but images are missing from all blog posts from 19th March onwards, ones before then display correctly. They can't be edited or replaced in existing posts and images can't be added to new blog posts. There is definately an issue.

Yes i see that icon too on Chorley Marlins.

Hmm are u using a standard theme? Any plug ins u added or weehly apps? Or fiddled with the html?

Thanks we use the Birdseye theme, this has not been customised and has worked fine since it was switched to in December. Apps installed are Events Calendar, Bloggons and ButtonsX, but these were installed at the same time as the the theme was changed last year without imapact.

I have tried adding images to other website pages and they will not upload either, so it is not just blog pages it is affecting so the problem seems to be with Weebly image hosting.

@Dom2 my idea is that these APPS havnt been up dated.. and is/ something is corupting ur theme

Try to isolate the cause.

Can u make a free dot weebly dot com site to test this out;

Select the same theme as the one u r using, make a new page. Try adding a photo.

If it works, add one by one one of these apps. And see what gives... thats all i got on this. Some thing is screwing with the theme some where.

Thank you for your reply but I think it is a Weebly issue as no changes have been made to the site theme or apps for months and this is a new problem which is affecting other Weebly users for example:

Hi @Dom2 i get what u r saying but if the theme gets some up grade and the apps dont, there will be a conflict.

I have a test blog i selecetd the BIRDSEYE THEME:

and just up loaded this photo.

There are about 3 pages on this test site. And no 3rd party apps. It loaded A OK for me and i have crappy wifi here in Kenya.

Thats great. I have been on weebly 9 years. I kinda got the hang of it when things dt work.

Specially with out of date apps.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I cleared the cache and cookies but the problem persists on this most recent blog post.
