Duplicate Titles and Empty Meta Descriptions on Blog previous pages

Hi @Adam,

I'm having an issue whereby all the blog "previous" pages are showing up as duplicate title and empty meta description errors in seo software like semrush, screaming frog and website auditor eg:

These previous pages mirror blog posts eg:

https://www.reclaimdesign.org/eco-blog/previous/18

Is the same as:

https://www.reclaimdesign.org/eco-blog/installation

My first question is - why is there this duplication? And my second is - how can the duplicate urls be blocked from google search so that the errors can be avoided?

For some reason, a lot of SEO tools aren't able to recognize the difference between certain types of blog pages and will spit out duplicate content warnings. Google will also do this itself even through by its vary nature a blog site that includes archives and category pages will have different pages with the same content on them. There isn't really a way I know of to get around that, although I don't know that it actually really hurts anything as far as SEO.
