"opted in" versus ... not

I have a pop up for customers to sign up for a newsletter.  

Why in the list of the people who have signed up do some say 'not opted in'?  Surely they opted in by entering their email into the newsletter request box in the first place?

How do they then opt in?  is there an extra step that some of the customers have completed?

the form is voluntary so surely filling it out means you've 'opted in' anyway?

Is there a checkbox on the form to consent to marketing emails, or is it just a field for email and a submit button?

Its a pop up where they fill in their email and then submit.

they dont' have to fill it out .. therefore in filling it out they must be 'opting in'

Yea, filling it out and submitting should imply consent which is strange if some are not opted-in. Have you contacted our support team about that yet?

that's great but how do I contact support???  I can't find an email and the live chat is not available in the UK.  If I use you link I go to a page telling me to phone (which I can't do) and then I get transfered to the automated live chat robot which tells me to contact support!  but doesn't give me an email or the 'raise a ticket'' option which I can *sometimes* stumble across. 

its so frustrating because the platform has so many glitches that I need to 'contact support' about.  its like this is a beta platform that we are all ironing out the issue for.

Can you post a screenshot of what you see when you click on the link Adam provided? You should be able to scroll down and click the link that says "Contact Us" in the bottom right corner. From there you will need to type in your question, then scroll through the suggested articles for the option to speak to support. Your options will display on the next screen. The email option will show 24/7, but phone and chat will only display when the support center is open. Mon-Fri 6am-6pm PST, and Sat/Sun 8am-5pm PST.
