I am building a website for a client that has inventory with many different options and I would like to use the store to create that area for them. The issue is that they do not makes sales online. It is only in store or over the phone. With that in mind, I want to change the "add to cart" button to something like "Contact for more information" and direct it to the contact page. HELP! time is short.
You might be able to do that by editing theme partials, @TorchedWeb. Go to the Theme tab and click on Edit HTML / CSS< then check the eCommerce partials on the left. I don't know for sure which partials would have what you need, but you can try looking there to see if you can hardcode a button linked to a specific page of the site.
Thanks @Adam. I'm slowly working my way thru it. I have found an old post that gave a good way to hide the button all together and that will work for now. Eventually, i will have a some breathing room to go back and poke around in the partials a little more and correct it as a whole. Deadline is rapidly approaching for now tho.
If you go to your online store, edit website, settings, Checkout, you can select an option to not accept on line orders. Means you infentory can still be visable, but people can't order anything via the web site
