Photo gallery format

Hello

I have only just set up my weebly website so am still finding my way around it.

I want to add a password protected photo gallery with different folder levels, similar to windows, so i can have photos in different folders to view.

Also i want the photos i upload to retain their filenames, is this possible?

Thanks

Hi @Brizzol Thanks for reaching out.

You can password protect pages if you are on a Pro plan or higher.

You won't be able to display the images in "folders" like you see on your computer, but you could create multiple pages that act as folders.

File names should not change, however, you will need to make sure that any uploaded image has a unique file name.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I have upgraded my plan so i can now password protect pages.

All my photos that i upload have unique file names such as IMG_1325.jpg, but when uploaded the file names are not visible on the photos, is there a way to enable this?

I understand what you mean about creating multiple pages so i will have a play with that to try and make that work.

Thanks

Hi again, @Brizzol.

Did you want to show the filename as a caption for the images? It wouldn't be automated, but you should be able to enter the image file name yourself as a caption for the image.

Hi Adam

no I wanted my file names to be automatically added as I upload them as sometimes I will need to add a large number of photos and to manually add a caption to each one will be far too time consuming.
Thanks.
