Menu with submenu in Spotlight theme - change color on hover not available

Pretty new to Weebly with a lot of experience in Wordpress and CSS/HTML. I'm using the Spotlight theme (based on Paris?) with collapsed menu option. Two menus items have submenus with the + symbol to show the dropdown sub-items, but is it possible to have the sub items appear when hovering on the main menu item? I'd even settle for having the main menu-item-with-submenu change color on hover like the the rest of the navigation, but I've only been able to alter the color of the + symbol.  I'm not prepared to change themes at this point. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi @Bullhorn I think you already changed your theme? The editor shows a theme using the collapsed menu. If by chance you do not want the collapsed menu option, you can change it by clicking Theme>Theme Options and toggle off/on Collapsed Menu.
