How do I make my ecommerce category pages, product pages and shopping cart secure with SSL?

  • I have enabled SSL on my site and configured IP to 199.34.228.76.
  • My other website pages are secure, just not my commerce pages (category, product, checkout).
  • It reads https: however, when it is pasted into chrome url bar, then chrome says NOT SECURE even displaying HTTPS:

All my product pages within Shop_Prints AND my checkout page are showing up in this "NOT SECURE https:" manner even though the url begins with https: -->
https://www.lisabisbee.com/store/c3/Shop_Prints.html
https://www.lisabisbee.com/store/p21/Hemingway%27s_Red_Couch.html
https://www.lisabisbee.com/store/checkout#cart

I've looked through all the html, js coding to find http: and change it to https:

When I look on a product page, I see the following code, but I can't find where to alter the http: to https: --->

I tried switching to other themes and still NOT SECURE, the same kind of http: stuff shows up in view source.

Any advice on how to fix this, would be appreciated.

Hi @lisabisbeelentz It looks like all of those pages are coming up as secure for me. Did you already resolve this issue with our support team?

Hi Bernadette,
I still have issues...

Yes, the url is https, however on a desktop computer,  google chrome alerts with "Not Secure" for the following pages:
all items pages within Shop_Prints, such as:
and even with an empty checkout:

Please see the following screenshot where google shows "Not Secure" next to https:  https://www.lisabisbee.com/uploads/3/0/9/3/3093960/lisabisbee-com-screen-shot-https-google-chrome-sa...

I pressed F12 and found the following in the security overview: Hemingway's_Red_Couch.html:1 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.lisabisbee.com/store/p21/Hemingway%27s_Red_Couch.html' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://www.lisabisbee.com/uploads/3/0/9/3/3093960/s443831020382976088_p21_i2_w640.jpeg'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Bernadette, I am not able to figure out how to adjust the html in the http://www.lisabisbee.com/uploads

And when I click to checkout and pressed F12:

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.lisabisbee.com/store/checkout?cart=#cart' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://cdn2.editmysite.com/images/site/footer/og-image-placeholder-blank.png'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

I am not able to figure out how to adjust the html in the http://cdn2.editmysite.com/images

Do you have any suggestions, pointing me in the right direction?

Thanks for your help.

Oh weird... it's saying the image is not secure, but I can't seem to duplicate the error.. Can you try a different browser? I checked in Chrome and Safari on my end. This is the link I pulled up: https://www.lisabisbee.com/store/p21/Hemingway%27s_Red_Couch.html

It says your site is not secure when I look at your site store too.  I was going to ask if you got this resolved as I have the same problem with my store www.staydryatnight.com but only in google Chrome.

HI @Ginny1 Thanks for posting! I forgot I wanted to order some prints from the previous user.

What browser are you using when you view the site? When I load all of her links in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, I show the site loading as secure. Your page is also loading secure for me.

Hi Bernadette

I'm using Version 83.0.4103.61 of Chrome.  It only displays as 'not secure' on the store and checkout page.  It says there is 'Mixed content'.

BedwettingSolution.html:1 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.staydryatnight.com/store/p17/BedwettingSolution.html' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://www.staydryatnight.com/uploads/2/8/5/3/28537303/s333819843494377932_p17_i5_w640.jpeg'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

When I delete the images the error goes to another part of the page.

It is fine on Explorer.
