How Do I Overlay Text On Top of a Slideshow?

Hi, Part of my site design requires static on top of an image slideshow.  The idea is to place a paragraph of text over the cycling images - the font is "News Cycle", color #818181.  Any help on how to manipulate code in order to do this is greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.  - Jason
